Utah Wedding Photographer

Chelsea & Bobby were married in Las Vegas on April Fools Day! I attended the wedding as a guest, not a photographer, and it was a beautiful afternoon to say the least!

As these two love birds passed through St. George on their way to Vegas, they made a pit stop for some pictures. Just looking at these portraits, you can see that they are so in love and so happy. I just know that these two will live happily ever after!

Children are one of my most challenging subjects to photograph, but I think this is what makes me love it so! I love the challenge of capturing their natural facial expressions, their inquizitive faces, their laughter and pure love, and the sweet memories that a mother will cherrish for years to come. As a mother myself, I know how precious it is to capture them as they truly are. Time flies to fast, and it's sometimes difficult to remember all of the little things.

This picture is a sweet one I captured of two sisters. Although they may bikker, and although big sister sometimes wishes little sister wuld just leave her alone, there are still the times of pure love and sweetness. For sister will be sister and best friends for ever.

This is a picture that I think both the mother, and the two sisters will absolutely adore forever.

Headbands!

Who doesn't love customized headbands?!?

I happen to have a very talented, crafty friend that makes custom headbands. her name is Hilari and she owns Debi's Doodads. These things are A-maz-ING! She asked me to do some portraits for her to show-case some of these fabulous creations, so of course, I said I would!

I like to think they would be perfect for an added touch to a dress for the next high school dance. Or even an adorable addition to the bridesmaids in a wedding line? Not to mention they look SUPER cute as a prop in a picture!

So check these out - you're going to just LOVE them!

My Own Little Lady

My daughter (who happens to be growing up WAY too fast!) lost her 2^nd tooth! It happened at school. According to my Kamryn, "I just sucked my air into my mouth and it went flying almost down my throat!"

Kids are the greatest ever! Which is one reason I love capturing photographs of children – I mean, just look at that sweet face!

I haven't got much time tonight, but it's been a little bit since my last post, so I thought I'd better add something new.

So here it is. A glimpse of what my clients get with their booking with me, Aimee Lee. Aside from a pretty sweet, goofy, laid back photographer who - I happen to think - takes some pretty nice portraits, my clients also get a customized disc full of professionally edited pictures from their shoot - to keep.

Yep. It's all yours. Forever. You can print any pictures from it you wish, and as many times as you wish. Christmas gifts for relatives, portraits to fill the new picture frame you just bought from the craft store, or even a quick headshot for the Star Student poster your child just told you they need by tomorrow.

Life Long Friends - Literally!

Here's the deal: She and I have been friends since the day we were born. Well, since the day I was born. My 'Ma Dukes' and hers have been friends since they were in Jr. High, and Miss Brittney and I are only 3 weeks apart in age.

So - when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was absolutely ecstatic to do so!

And when I started editing the pictures from her engagement shoot, I was even more stoked! And I just couldn't WAIT to share!

So here are just a few. I know, I know...how rude of me to only give you a few pictures. But keep your eye out { or check the Facebook page } for there will be more to come!

St. George Engagement Photography

I have to say that one of my favorite parts of weddings is the engagement session. Well...except for the bridals...and I LOVE candid shots of the wedding.

Ok - so maybe I just LOVE weddings?!? ( and babies! )

It's just so fun for me to capture a couple in love. There is nothing more fun to watch than two people who are completely lost in each other.

This is a couple who is getting married in just a short time. Lindsey and Stephen are just plain adorable, and they're going to have so much fun together as a married couple!

St. George Temple

A close friend of mine asked me to capture a shot of the St. George Temple to give to her mother in law for her birthday. It always makes me feel so special when people want to use my work for something as important as a birthday present, so of course, I accepted!

I took this picture tonight. Yep. Just a few hours ago.

I couldn't WAIT to get my hands on it! { although I had to wait...I ate a nice family dinner made by the hubster, and THEN dove into this picture - after the kiddies went to bed. }

...and it was worth the wait. I L.O.V.E. this shot.

In fact, I have just ordered it in an 18 x 24 canvas print for my office. It better come soon!

The St. George Temple is absolutely gorgeous.

I did a shoot of my dear friend Becky and her hubster. They also brought along the hubster's sibling and their spouses.

( it's a gift for the hubby's mom for her birthday. )

Here is a shot of my gorgeous Becky and her man. I made the picture look a little old and faded, then added a little extra suttin', suttin' to the edges...

I'm really loving the final look!

This one may have to be printed on a large canvas for my office. Hmmmm....decisions, decisions.

Candids!

Those of you who know me (or those of you who follow my work) already know just how much I LOVE candid shots!

One of the things I love most about photography is its challenges. One of which is capturing real life moments. The true personality of a child (whether they are full of life, or are the shy type who hide behing thier mom's leg) the soft, innocence in a newborn baby, or the real feeling of a newlywed couple, so in love and happy.

The candid shots that are my favorite are definitely the ones taken when the subjects think no one is watching them. These moments are one of the main reasons I love photography. I love the challenge of capturing the real life moments. The meaningful moments. The moments worth remembering.

Congratulations to this beautiful couple. So in love. So happy. And so candid.

The First Portraits (while baby is still baking)

Being pregnant is one of the most amazing experiences.

The positive pregnancy test quickly followed by a slow growing belly and no longer fitting into your jeans. Hearing a baby's heart beat for the first time { even for parents of multiple children, the first heartbeat is always magical } The first flutter as you instantly stop what you're doing and think, "was that the baby moving?!?" The first picture of your baby...

Having portraits to look back and remember all the cherrished moments of being pregnant is absolutely fabulous. For years to come, you will look back on these pictures and lightly smile as you quietly reminisce about carrying your little one in your belly.

This shoot is of Lindsay { she happens to be my sister } and baby Kingston. She is expecting her second baby - her second BOY! Her house will be wild and crazy, but she is excited, and so is Big Brother Dreysin!

Congratulations Lindsay! I can't wait to meet baby Kingston.
